Q: i am looking 2 buy a 2nd 300zx the only difference is my 2nd is going 2 be a twin turbo. i know a twin turbo requires A LOT more maintenance and care, it is faster/more fun when its a manual, blah blah blah. what i want 2 know is how much faster is a manual twin turbo 300zx than a automatic? or does it depend on the driver? my 2nd question is would the manual twin turbo require more maintenance than the automatic?? or would it be the same? this is the z32 THANK YOU

A: Bottom line is that it's the same engine. However the manual will allow you to have better control based on rpms and actual driving know how. A good driver with a manual will beat a good driver with automatic. Maintenace wise, the automatic will cost more for repairs (transmission) and require just a little more maintaince. Yes the TT will require more maint than the non-turbo because more parts to deal with parts (turbo's, intercoolers, BOV's (blow off valves) and Hicas (steering system) are very costly. If you want more info and to do a little more research, go to www.twinturbo.net. Its a forum for z lovers and it has tons of diy step by step instructions (most with pics) and just a good general source for info.
