Q: Hi. My trunk won't open anymore. The only way I can open it is if I go inside the trunk from the backseat and pull the release handle. Both remotes have been replaced due to the recall. Both won't open the trunk if I hold the trunk switch on them. I tried pressing the button on trunk itself and it won't work. I tried pressing the button underneath the steering wheel and it won't work. Any suggestions before I take it to the dealer. thanks
A: check on the underside of the trunk for a trunk button override switch... many cars have this. when engaged it overrides all means of opening the trunk except using the key... im not really sure if your altima is equipped with one but many cars have em and hey if it does im sure youd be happy to fix it yourself then pay a dealer 80 an hour to flip a switch.. hope this helps -Dalton
