Can I import Skyline GTS-T Type-M to US

Q: Is it ok to import from Japan?

A: Nice car . You can import the spec 2 R33 Due to Motorex having actual crash data the US gov said no to all Skylines after a date but evidence was evidence so they couldn't argue about the data so providing the Skyline meets US regs then its fine, although this is where it can become a pain due to having the work carried out which is needed as standard on any import then each state differs to what else needs doing to make it street legal so you best finding out what mods are needed where you live and price the work up and see whom needs to check it to get a street legal test. Other then that your best buying a Skyline with already US papers. http://www.fast4wheels.com/jdm.php http://www.focusautosales.com/ http://rbmotoring.com/gallery/album141 http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=105699 http://www.turbomagazine.com/features/0612turp_nissan_skyline_gtr_r33/index.html The type m is a great car and has the advantage of being cheaper than a GTR and still has a turbo to mod and gain extra bhp from. Also the GTS versions of the Skylines are 5 seater's against the GTR being a 4 seater version. http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90255&highlight=pictures thread on free skyline owners site with owners showing there R33's http://trialuk.com/ one off cars sold world wide.
