Q: I need a second key and I went to a dealer. He said that key and programming will cost me $180. I have Nissan Sentra 2007 and the key has a chip. If I buy my own key how much would the programming cost? $100 or more? I forgot to ask him :/
A: Hello, I work at a Nissan dealer and we charge $45.00 for the labor to program key .This involves hooking computer up to program chip in key. I have heard some dealers in our area charge up to 105.00 to do the same job. It takes tech approximately 15-20 minutes to do the job. Unfortunately chip in key does not come programmed. It must be programmed after purchasing. Good Luck
