A: The mileage on that car indicates "22,000 miles." A good indication is as follows, which should be the first test you conduct. If the car fails this test, don't even go near it. If the number of kilometres (or miles) that a car has done, divided by the number of years, is 20,000 kilometres (12,427 miles) or more, step away. So for that car you'd be looking for less than 12,427 miles, since it hasn't even been a year that it's been owned. Larger figures indicate that this car is being taken for cross-country drives which aren't really good for its long-term future. After all, you want this sort of late-model car to stay with you for a fair while, right? So clearly, this car fails the test. By the way, this shouldn't be the only test you conduct. You should get your hands on the car and actually drive it and find out things about its history (service history is of most importance), so that you know the previous owner(s) haven't abused this car to all hell, replaced most things with cheap generic products, and are selling them for a discounted price. Just a caveats for you to look out for while looking at this car and/or others in the future. I hope this helps, Pat.
