Q: the car has 60,000 miles and the code is P0444 and it says evap solenoid circuit open I don't remember the exact words but it was something like it, can anyone give some advise thanks for your help!
A: Purge voloume control valve code P0444 is caused by an low voltage there is 12v supplied by fuse #20 fuse box to the valve and the other wire grounded 0v measured inside the ECM. Code could be caused by that valve fuse or shorted wiring and there is the possability of a bad ECM 8 year 80,000 warranty item. The valve has 4mm inside diameter hoses one to the intake manifold and one to the charcoal canister left rear behind the wheel. Valve is not expensive easy to change under your engine cover. Clear the code drive the car two days have the gas tank between 1/4 and 3/4 so the evap system tests itself.
