Q: I am looking to purchase my first car. $5,000 is what I have to spend. I want something reliable, good on gas and mileage and not too expensive.
A: Maxima's are great, I would also look into Altima's. I owned both and love them. I'm pro Nissan and every one I've owned (5 to be exact) were very reliable. I have 05 Altima, 93 300zx 99 Maxima and my daughter has 95 Sentra. Never had a break down that wasn't due to normal wear and tear. STAY AWAY FROM FORDS....THEY ARE WELL KNOW FOR CRAPPY TRANSMISSIONS.
