Q: Alright... I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima with 77k miles on car. Purchased it not too long ago for $6,000. I have no problems with the car when I drive at slow speeds (smooth ride), but as soon as I begin to pick up speed, the car goes from a smooth ride to a-somewhat-turbulent one. What does this mean? Any problems I should be on the look out for? Will upgrading the gas to premium help solve the problem? I've been using regular and I heard that premium offers better performance for Maxima's. I know that Nissan's are reliable cars but, I don't want to be on the highway and have this thing crap out on me. HELP! Thanks in advance...

A: Fly lower in calm air. Turbulent meaning you feel more motor vibration? Just where do you think you feel this turbulent? 2000 Maxima is a great car with front and rear electronic controled motor mounts either one of those has failed or the right hand motor mount is bad or transmission mount may be bad. Other things like an exhaust system rubber mount may be bad get it to a Nissan Dealer for the mechanic to drive. Possably a wheel bearing has become rough and that is what you feel. Premium Fuel is reccomended you will get enough better milage to offset the cost difference. And improve engine life.
