Q: cant afford to spend much but we have been looking at a few primeras, does anybody have one and are they any good,
A: Nissan Primera's, Toyota Avensis and mazda 626 are all soulless and boring, but they're as bombproof as a taliban hideout. For reliable motoring and minimal repairs (i.e. none!) it's very hard to beat them. Don't forget the venerable mondeo, it's a class act and is genuinely a hugely capable car which can be bought for silly money. Don't go near a vectra.....ever!
