Q: It takes a couple tries to start, even in warm weather, and will stall out on me if I wait to long at a light or drive thru (it's an automatic by the way) The check engine light has been on for a while, I just can't afford to take it in with our oh-so-lovely economy pinching my gas budget. I have a very good extended warranty on the vehicle - I just can't pay for the diagnostics...so if I could figure out what is wrong with it...if it's covered under warranty the actual repair is free.

A: Take it to your local autoparts store and let them scan the ecu (cars computer) it only takes 5 minutes and they will tell what is causing the check engine light to come on and its free. They can even reset it so the light goes out, but it will keep coming back on until you get the problem fixed.
