Q: We have a 2007 Nissan Versa and we have over 26k miles and the check engine light has come on. Does anyone know how to turn off the check engine light?
A: Check engine light came on for a reason. It could be something as simple as its time for a tune up, or something with the emmissions. Run it up to your local auto parts place like Napa, Pep Boys, Autozone...ect. They can run your ecu (cars computer) and check the cause. Make sure you write down the code and have the problem fixed. They can also clear the check engine light and its free. With that said, it will only come back as soon as the problem is detected again until its fixed. So its easier to get it fixed. Also if you just filled up with gas, check to make sure you gas cap is on correctly. This can also cause check engine light to come on. DO NOT TAKE TO THE DEALER THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC.
