Q: I have a 2WD Nissan Xterra and want to change the differential fluid. I located the drain plug and the fill plug but is there more to it than simply draning and refilling the gear oil?
A: Just make sure you park on a level surface and fill the diff up till it starts coming out of the fill hole. Be sure to use the correct diff fluid as well. If it's an automatic use 75W-90 GL-5 synthetic and if it's a 6 speed or O/R then use 75W-140 GL-5 synthetic.
