Q: Last Wednesday I was driving down the highway and my SES light flashed on and the X started cutting out very abrubtly. I was able to exit the highway & made it to the dealership. By then, the light had gone off & no more cutting out. I explained everything to them. They called later that afternoon and said to come pick it up, they couldn't find anything wrong. It drove fine on the way home, the next day he drove it about 50 miles Fast forward to Friday afternoon, I drove it about 15 miles. I felt it cutting out and could tell it was NOT right. When husband got home, I wanted to take him for a spin to show him what was happening. Well, got as far as backing out of the garage & there goes the SES light, truck dies. I fire it back up & it just sits there, light flashing, jerking uncontrollably. We take it to a local repair shop, they say no codes showing, take it back to NIssan. We had it towed this morning & Nissan now says it the IPDM. Anyone have any experience with this?

A: Intelligent Power Distribution Module. Kind of like the nervous system for your car basically a relay and fuse control board. Recently I have done two in Titan trucks not any yet in 2005+ Xterria or Pathfinder. The symptom you describe sounds just like the Titan truck. Really bad running misfire and stalling and on Titan it may not set a check engine light. Very low rate of failure so far.
