Q: Ive seen a lot of 240s with a battery relocation, i really dont see a reason to, the only thing i can imagine is to make room under the hood.
A: i have a turbo system, this is unessary! you just run the piping to the side of the radiator then curve it around to the front. but still if you want to use a bolt on kit you kinda have no choice but to cut a hole where the battery tray is. on the otherhand. i notice there is a big misconseption that relocating your battery to the truck will help your weight balance on this car. with the s13 it is not true! they have a 49/51 ratio, more weight in the back! so that doesn't help much. and if you drag race,you are required to mount a cut off switch if running a battery in the trunk. and the extra long cables increases resistance and you end up with lower voltage for the starter and accys. so imho unless you absolutly must do it! don't!!! you're correct with your reasoning.
