Q: It was making a low whistling noise (subdued police siren) as i changed gears. So took it to the garage where they informed me the turbo needed replacing. Any ideas?
A: my nissans turbo went on me about a week ago with about 95k on clock 05 model took it to nissan they wanted to charge 1100 for turbo + labour but i got job done 980 fitted if it is whistling it is defo on way out if it goes expect total loss of all power and white smoke. the garage informed me that they had one go a month ago with roughly the same milage seems to be a common thing ,sorry i could not be ,more helpful .but if it is a turbo shop around
