A: There are a lot of variables. The year of the vehicle, the coverages that you carry, your driving record. If you can stay on your parent's policy, this is the best, as you will receive discounts with them that you won't qualify for on your own (like multi car discount and discounts from the company if they have been with the same insurance carrier for awhile).
