Q: I have a 2001 nissan altima. It squeaks when I drive, it sounds like it is coming from the front tires. I didn't know if this could be my hubcaps??? I have never had any problems with the car. The only thing that I have done is brakes and new tires. Any ideas on what this could be and how much to fix it??? Thanks!!!!! Only happens when I am driving...when I stop the sound stops. Brakes have been replaced about a month ago, but this problem occured long before that.
A: I think you have already guessed it. These cars had hubcap issues. They tend to squeak over time. Just take the hubcaps off and drive it to see if that fixes it. Pretty sure it's not the brakes because you said it happened before you had the brakes done.
