Q: Looking at buying one of these SUV's it has the V6 3.3L engine and 4x4 with about 120,000 miles on it. Just wanted to know the pros and cons?
A: have it looked over well.... they are known for oil pan leaks, valve cover gasket leaks, o2 sensors going bad, noisy distributors, sludging, blown shocks, etc. I'm not saying it's a bad vehicle at all, i'm just aware of all the things that do go wrong having been a Nissan technician. they also have timing belts. you need to find out if it was replaced (usually around 80 - 100k mi) if not, you'd be looking at replacing the timing belt, water pump, cam and crank seals, timing belt tensioner etc. don't let me scare you off, cause the 3.3L engine is bulletproof if it's been well maintained for the last 120k mi. check for service records from the previous owner and have a technician look it over.
