Q: Both my main and spare keys have rubber buttons which have worn down over time. The keys themselves are absolutely fine, the rubber has failed so it is getting harder to activate/deactivate the central locking. I have tried to contact nissan but cannot get a reply. It is a K11 model. How much will it cost be for two new keys. Would it be cheaper for Nissan to replace the buttons only? If it is pricey and anything with cars usually is, would it be possible to 'learn' the signal to say a learning device (seperate remote). Looking forward to your replies.

A: The buttons on your remotes are grey and black? Contact your local NISSAN parts and they can sell you a repair kit for the remote, the part no: is 28268 9F904. Easy to replace, however in my experience when you remove the interior circuit, the small micro switches are already damaged because of continual picking at remote. It's a common fault with these remotes!! Hope this helps.
