Q: I recently bought a 2006 Nissan Maxima and I want to be able to charge my cell phone when I'm not in the car but none of the power outlets will work without the key in and turned to at least accessory. Is there anyway to bypass this or am I screwed?
A: I don't know why you would want to leave a cell phone charging unattended. Some cell batterys catch on fire. I will look at the power outlet circuit. You are correct the sockets only turn on with ingnition on or acc posistion. If your car was in Fort Worth Texas I would activate the rear socket relay to keep the rear powersocket hot all the time. But there again having your car catch on fire when on one is around would be a bummer.
