Weird noise in my mitsubishi endeavor 2004?

Q: I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor and when I turn the AC on every now and then a weird sound appears. Almost like a cop car siren (just the beginning of it). Like a high pitch whoop sound. Of course when I try to get other people to hear it, it doesnt happen. No one knows what sound I am talking about. I figure someone somewhere out there knows. So if you do please help me out. If you dont know, dont leave an answer and don't tell me to take it in to the dealership. Thank you. I am knocking down going to the dealer. There is no knocking sound, it is more of a siren sound like I explained. I wanted to know if someone with the same vehicle might have had the same experience. That is all.

A: I would have helped, but you seem to not want to recognize the folks most likely to be able to identify your problem... the dealer. If you have had a bad experience, try another dealer. We have 2 Master elite technicians and 2 master technicians... nothing gets misdiagnosed. As for your noise, the Endeavor compressors have been prone to knocking (the begining of it failing), but you'd have to have it in person to be 100 percent sure.
