Can a lancer 2006 check engine light come on after running through water on freeway when raining heavy?

A: egr and mass (mass controls/measures air flow so if that was bad ur car would not run or run really bad/slow) will not be affected by rain unless u went swimming with ur car... but u can fry circuits with water if u went thro a large, laaarge puddle of water ...usually the engine is protected from the elements and most likley not going to be affected by water being so new... take it back to the dealer or obd scan from autozone will do to
