Q: I mean the chip embeded in the key. My last car with no protection was stolen and I wonder if this system is effective.
A: I have had my 2002 Grand Marquis LS S55 since brand new and never been stolen. It has a horn alarm along with the anti theft, but like anything else is someone wants it they will get it.
