Need to find the master combination for keyless entry on a 2005 Mercury Mariner. Anyone know where to find it?

Q: Have heard there are ways to find the 5 numbers for keyless combinations on other Mercury vehicles. Thanks for response. We knew there was a way to go to dealer. Any thoughts on how to avoid going to dealership??

A: I'm sorry, but on this particular vehicle, the keyless entry system is controlled by what's called a "Smart Junction Box". In other words, this is an electronic module that is incorporated into the main interior fuse panel underneath the console, beside the shifter assembly. Access to it, requires removal of the entire console assembly, which may also require the removal of the Smart Junction Box itself to gain visible access to the label, which I'm not even sure will have the five digit entry code written on it. That being said, you are probably better off bringing it to the dealer and paying the $50 for them to access the code through the scan tool. The disassembly required to access this module is far more trouble than it's worth for the sake of saving the fee you will be charged to obtain it through the dealer. Hope this helps.
