Q: ok i have a 99 mercury cougar and it has only a single exhaust out put. And i was woundering if its possible, how do i make it have a duel exhaust. I spoted on the internet a thing called a Y-pipe and it looks like it could be used to make duel exhaust. Is that what i need and if so what else do i need and where can i get it welded on?
A: between the gas tank and the spare tire well i don't think you could fit a second mufler under the car. maybe at a wierd angle. you need to weld anchors for the second mufler. cut a slot in the rear bumper.
