Q: I have a 1996 Mercury Sable with a broken pulley, got a new one from a parts place, but the hole for the shaft was too small to allow the pulley to be pressed on. (ruined a install tool trying. :( ) shaft is about .625 inch, hole in pulley hub is smaller. Catalog shows I have the correct part. Any help on this? The new pulley is a Dorman, part # has been verified by a dealer, who tried to press the new one on and failed. I'm going to get another tommorow and try it for size.
