Q: I have a 99 Mercury cougar I just put a new transmission in it about a year ago but for the last 6 months my car has been sitting and after the car gets warm the fluid comes up out of the dip stick area I called a few different mechanics and when I told them my problem they thought I was nuts can you help please thank you
A: Fluid comes out.... hum.... Either the transmission is overheating or more than likely the transmission can't breathe (it needs air and has a port just for that on the tranny) and will spill it's guts because of it. Find a transmission shop or a dealer for this issue
