A: There MIGHT be, but the REAL issue here is NOT higher speed (you get higher speed by making the engine go faster) but rather,safety. MOST electronic speed limiting (fuel chopping to those of us in the trade) is done to protect the tires from excess centrifical force. Solve the "exploding tire" conundrum and you can go as fast as the engine will let you.
