Q: I have a 99 cougar and the tranny is stuck in 3rd gear. I dont know what Is wrong. It is a 5 speed manual. Is it hard to take a transmission out of that kind aof car? How would I do it and how long does it take. Also should I replace or rebuild. Answers would be great
A: I couldn't tell you for sure but hopefully it's something like the linkage and not too costly to fix. Get it to a mechanic.
