Q: i have my eye set on one. the guy says its all original but i can not find anything on this car. all i find is about the 1970 cyclone. i've drove the car it runs great. the interior has wear and tear, the body has a couple rust spots nothing out of hand. if you can help me let me know please and thank you. tim

A: From how it sounds too me, I wouldn't pay more than 5,000 for it. Honestly though, it all depends on the stuff you haven't said. If it's the original engine, has it been rebuilt? If not then you will probably have to replace it or rebuilt it sometime in the near future. Same story on the transmission. If items like that have been taken care of then it justify a higher asking price. Unfortunately going rate kind of depends on a lot of things. If he is selling the only one in the state he can charge almost whatever he wants for it. NADA, is a good place to look. Also look at places like eBay, and classic car trader and online classifieds to see what the going price is on them around the country. If his is in better condition than most, it justifies a 10-15% higher price. If not then it's the other way around.
