Q: I have looked for a fuse but have not found it. defrost works but washer and wipers for the rear don't work. how do I fix this.
A: Wow that first guy left a really helpful answer. I have a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer. There is two fuse boxes on the car, one in the dash on the driver's side. And one in the back left quarter panel in the trunk. You know where the jack is stored. It's in the front part. I can't remember which one has the fuse for the wiper, I think it's in the back fuse box. Also make sure there is no undue torque against the wiper operation. If my rear wiper doesn't sit perfectly in the cradle sometimes it will not work. Also unfortunately, our generation Mercury's have a lot electrical gremlins.
