Q: I have a 1999 Mercury Sable LS sedan. I just had it tuned up and saftey inspected which confirmed that they braqkes are in great shape. However, whenever I step on the brakes, AS I TAKE MY FOOT OFF TO RELEASE THE BRAKES, THE RED "BRAKE LIGHT" COMES ON FOR ABOUT 3 - 5 SECONDS. Is this just an electrical or Sensor problem, or should I be worries about the actual brakes????
A: Check your brake fluid in the master cylinder. If the fluid is low you need to check your front pads if the pads are new add fluid.
