Q: my came factory with a tape deck an i wanna leave it factory but replace the radio with a cd player from a newer model

A: Grand Marquis. There's no E in that. From the looks of it, it would fit, but there's no guarantee you could hook it up and have everything work, particularly if the new stereo is meant to have steering wheel controls or something and your car doesn't have them. If the wiring harnesses don't match up exactly, you might be best served by having any such stereo professionally installed. edit: It doesn't look like the factory stereos changed very much. You should know that Ford has a history of making spectacularly shitty factory stereos, and that if you replace it with something aftermarket, you will hear a marked improvement in sound quality. Get something else.
