Q: My sticker in the car says 5w 30, but when i took it to get an oil change the computer their said 5w 20. I had been putting in 5w 30 since i got it. so whats goin on?
A: All Ford products up to 2000 model year use 5W30 engine oil. 2001 to current model years use 5W20 in all gasoline engines except 4.0L SOHC V6 engines. The above poster is correct in stating that Ford released a TSB about the grade of oil to be used. If you've always been using 5W30, it would probably be best to maintain using that grade.
