Does anyone drive a mercedes suv - are they nice?

Q: I know they're expensive cars so you'd believe they drive well and feel safe...just wondering

A: Ignore "Hot God" because he clearly never drove a BMW. The X5 is SLOW. Very, very slow. And ugly. The older ML rides totally differently than the new one. The old one was like a bouncing, sluggish wagon on stilts. The new ML is beautiful and drives exponentially better. Reliability with the 1998-2002 MLs are sketchy so if you purchase used, avoid those years. The newest body style brought on many upgrades and improvements that the MB technicians seem to acknowledge as huge leaps ahead of the first generation. The GL is certainly nice but it's a fuel hog that gets about 14mpg in the larger engine. The numbers are only slightly better for the smaller 4.5 liter engine. Overall, however, it is beautiful and drives smoothly. It's not quick but the whole package balances things out. Feeling safe and being safe are two different beasts. Mercedes is known for producing safe vehicles but no SUV is safe just because it is an SUV. There are statistics and articles written by the hundreds with regard to the perceived versus actual safety of larger vehicles. Edit: Ignore the answer below mine because he or she is completely making everything up. Of this I am sure for several reasons. First, you cannot return a car. Period. There is NO cooling off period or return period and he probably just took cues from my answer. Second, that user has been known to post ridiculous questions and answers. They are probably a teenager living large through their keyboard.
