A: Joe, I looked at the pictures. You should be proud of your car and you will find it to be a wonderful sports sedan. I have a 2005 Mazda SP23, the same car as yours, different nomenclature. Mazda has developed an intelligent compromise between economy and sporting intentions. It is simply amazing that the car is not cheap, but efficient. Believe it or not if you properly upgrade the performance the 3 will not be outclassed by cars that are twice the cost. It can be refined and even more focused as a driver's car if you choose. It is not a race car, it is a drivers car. It is engineered to handle and sustain speed with composure and finesse. It is a car that is cool. It is an extension of one of the finest two seat roadsters ever made, the Mazda Mx5. It is my hope you seek to understand the design, research and development as well as the Mazda philosophy. The 3 is a culmination of an interesting science, Kansei engineering and history Jimba Itta, it's all in the car you so dearly love.
