Q: I am planning to buy a car. My budget is 500000 to 550000Rs. Both New Mahindra Logan and 2004 model used Honday city fits in this. I am more impressed with Honda city. But price of new Mahindra Logan is making me rethink. For the money I put in second hand honda city, I get a new Mahindra Logan. I am confused on which one to go for. My expectation with the car would be * Good Mileage * Rich look (interior and exterior) * Fits my budget * Reliable machine (Usually Japnese car win in this, AFAIK) * Lastly the status symbol with the car I had a chance to go through both Logan and Honda City review. Honda city wins in the looks in both interior and exterior. Price of Honda city has been rated as overpriced and Logan has been priced as Value for money. As a higher middle class family buyer, I tend to get more for the money I put. I know that Logan is good, but my opinion is, would second hand honda city be a bad choice when compared to a new Logan. Please suggest.
A: The second hand Honda city might give u maintenance problems as it is old but a new car like Logan from Renault driven in France most of its components are imported. Renault has only chosen Mahindra because they wanted an channel to distribute it in India. Logan has great mileage go for petrol one it is good. Logan has great interiors you can spend 20,000 to 30,000 on its interiors. The freshness in a new car is absolutely diffrent than the stinky smell in an old car.
