Q: AC compressor doesn't even turn on. I am certain it is in the control panel. Am I correct.
A: not enough info when you switch from floor to a/c does the system actual change the air flow direction as you push each button to go from floor to defrost to vent and all. if it does all that then you are probably out of freon which means you have a leak somewhere.
