Q: The plug under the hood that hooks up to the code reader. Our Mercury's connector is on the passenger side near the cowl, but so far we can't find it on the Lincoln.

A: 1995 was the model year that all Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis/Town Car models switched to EEC-V, in other words, OBD-II compliant. That being said, the data link connector IS under the instrument panel, accessed from the driver's seat. From the driver's seat, look under the instrument panel to the right, but just to the left of where the ashtray/cupholder assembly slides out, you will find the 16-pin OBD-II connector.
