Q: I am getting a check engine light on my car and I need to pul the codes, but I cant find the port. I bought the Actron code scanner (CP9015) from AutoZone but I dont know where to plug it into. I found the "SUSP/EVO" port which is on the passenger side firewall, but I cant find the ECC port. I know there should be a port that plugs into the scanner and then another single connector that plugs into the scanner too but I just cant find them. If anyone can help that would be great! Thanks for the reply. I found it. Since my car is a 95 it is a OBD 1. It is actually located under the hood on the drivers side under a plastic trim piece. A: I believe that there is a port under the steering column, but not 100% sure. I have a 98 Mark VIII, but I always bring it to my friend who is a mechanic when there is a problem.
