Q: I have a promtional catalog for a Lincoln V-12 136. There is no date anywhere in the catalog. Does anyone know when the V-12 was manufactured or began to sell? Or when the catalog could have been printed. The last page says "John Bornman & Son, Detroit." Thank you.

A: Lincoln built V-12-powered Zephyrs between 1936-42 and Lincoln Continentals between 1941-48.(excluding war years. The Zephyr was very much in the mold of the then-current Chrysler Airflow. The brochure also could be for one of the Lincoln KB series V-12s, which would date it to the 1930s.
