Q: I purchased a lincoln town car and my car has a defective plastic intake manifold. Ford was involved in a class action lawsuit. in 2005 Now, What can I do if the recall expired?
A: unfortunately the recall was only an extention of the warranty. not a safety recall. so they only extended the warranty for a short period of time. but do not take it to the dealer to get it fixed. the intake kit is available at autozone for $250. less then half of what ford wants for it. only a couple of hours to replace it. you can get it replaced for less then half of what the dealer will charge you.
