Q: I'm talking to an old lady that has a 94 lexus es300 with only 54k miles on it. This car has obviously sat "garaged" for a very long time and thus is in excellent cosmetic shape. Preparing it to be sold they have placed a new transmission, shift module, water pump, timing belt, tires, rotors, brake pads, and are in the process of replacing the computer system. I have no doubts about their character. Also this lady is loaded, money isn't a issue. My question is should I buy this car over one that is a newer model and 2x the amount of milage price being close.

A: something seems fishy if it needed a new trans and all the other work. Maybe the miles are wrong. Not a big fan of the Lexus ES either, just a glorified camry. There are way better cars out there for the money, and made in this decade!
