i want a jeep grand cherokee? Gas?

Q: Can anyone tell me how much it costs to fill up your jeep and how many miles you get on a full tank of gas. I do home health care so i drive a ton, but since winter is coming i need something safe. and im a big jeep fan

A: I have a 96 JGC LTD 4.0L Straight 6 engine full time 4WD and it costs me about $64 to fill up from 1/4 of a tank. (Never drive a vehicle with an electric fuel pump below 1/4 of a tank or you'll destroy the pump). Even being full time 4WD which I recommend to you for easy of use in the winter, I average 16mpg city/24mpg highway which is about 380 miles per tank. You do not need a V8 in these trucks the 4.0L engines are power houses and will run forever. I'm currently sitting at 193,743 miles on my odometer and my jeep still runs and drives great. I've been off road in it many times, jumped it a few times, and have towed a 2100lb trailer with a 5600lb full size Ford Bronco on the trailer which is 2800lbs more than max towing capacity, but it did it. So, these trucks are built tough and will take abuse and keep going. Just remember though a 4WD vehicle will get you moving in bad road conditions but it does absolutely nothing to help you stop or when turning. I hope this helps.
