Q: I am looking to buy an older wrangler but i would like to know when jeep started using fuel injection.
A: The last carburetor was used mid 80's, around 84/85. Jeep then went to using TBI (throttle body injection) which is kind of like a carburetor/multi-port injection hybrid. The late 80's/early 90's saw the complete switch over to multi-port from TBI. Hope this helps.
