A: Here's a serious tip... drive the thing for at least 20 miles before you buy it. Those year jeeps had SERIOUS electrical problems that can cause the thing to stop running anytime... even on the highway.. for no reason at all, and then just run fine again. He may be selling for cheap because it has this issue. Ask him about it... press him about it, get a bit of a guarantee that it's ok, and demand a long test drive. This problem is sometimes UNFIXABLE. The jeep engineers can't even figure it out. Good luck. Otherwise, it sounds like a nice ride.
