Q: Not sure if all or only a few gaskets need to be replaced, so can the answer be given as price per gasket? Must this be done by a mechanic? I think we're talking about just the oil gaskets, here, because the truck is leaking some oil.
A: well seeing how ur question is so vague i will do the best to answer this question. First if its just valve covers this you can do your self other then that i would seek the help of a trained tech. I am in the middle of putting new head gaskets on a dakota with a 5.9l v8 with the machine work and labor its just over 2000.00 so it can get pricey. oil pan gasket would run about 400 at a shop rear main seal around 700 and so on so more info would help tons.
