A: I've owned both. The Grand has a lot more room and is more of a family/luxury ride - but still can handle some off-roading. The Cherokee is more of a compact and is very agile off-road. You should get nearly the same mileage out of both - average around 18. Both are great rigs and if I had to choose - I'd go with the Grand.
