I have a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 4.5

Q: Last month I was driving and my passenger front shocked popped out. I pulled over and popped the hood and the rubber bushing and bolt was missing. I tied the shock to the coil spring and took it to a tire store. They told me no luck fixing it. How do I fix this problem? Do they make a polyurethane bushing for the top of the shock where it comes up through the firewall? Or are my shocks too short? They came with the lift so I'm hoping they wouldn't be. Anyone out there...Please help

A: You might also try going to a junk yard and pulling one from a stock Grand Cherokee. It may or may not be the same size but worth a shot as you should get the nut/bushing for cheap. OR if you had a buddy with a stock Grand you could see if one of thiers fit before you went to the junk yard.
