Q: I LOVE Jeep Cherokee's my favorite one is the 2001 Jeep Cherokee Classic (I want to own one) I'm just wonderin why did Chrysler stop making them so soon. Since 1991 a new Ford Explorer has been released every year it's just not fair they stop manufacturing the Jeep Cherokee's.........it just seems like their becoming more and more scarce nowa days Here's a picture of it:---------> http://fp.images.autos.msn.com/merismus/gallery/c438568a.jpg

A: The XJ vehicle production began in 1983 and went pretty much unchanged untill 2001.It was time for a new vehicle and so the Liberty was launched in the brand new 2 billion dollar Toledo North Assembly Plant.A lot of people said they made a mistake,I know we did at work and I believe looking back they know they made a mistake. The straight 6 in the XJ also produced more emission and was less fuel efficent then the new 3.7 in the Liberty.
